Sadly the Pimbura passed away about a year ago,no one could find out anything wrong with him,he stopped feeding, tried everything possible, then passed him to a friend who has a sanctuary and a wealth of Asian Python experience but sadly to no avail.Post mortem discovered a cyst on his spine that had caused severe nerve damage.
Sad day indeed.

Never really had problems with pimburas,or even much grief from the mainland Indians tbh,had one years ago that was a swine but most have been ok that I've come across.

Well, unless it was a new morph of some kind I can assure you there are 1000's of Bull snakes in the country,Pinbulls are actually a cross between the Bull snake(Pituophis catenifer sayi) and a Northern Pine snake(Pituophis m. melanoleucus),both of which are part of the same group, along with the Gopher snakes. They are all the masters of bluff, with typical behaviour being coiling to an S position, hissing very loudly with an open mouth as a warning, even going as far as closed mouth strikes, but very rarely do they actually bite. That said, they are a big snake when adult, unusually for snakes, the males are larger still with 8ft being fairly common with captive feeding regimes,so if they do bite it's a git!
Once out of the viv however they generally become a different snake instantly, exploring and being perfectly happy to be handled.
The Pinbull in the picture is het albino,so hopefully next year some Albino Pinbulls will appear!

oh dear so the woman that was selling it for £225 was telling some porkies maybe then lol! she definatly said its a bull snake and one of the only ones in the country!she had another one - but cant remember what it was.
But then i suppose if it was that rare in the country would it not have been much moreexpensive than £225. an albino royal was going for quite a bit more lol!

I would think it was a morph Bull, the Ivory and the Ghost morphs can get up to £250-£300 each, did you notice if it was an unusual colour?
A normal, every day Bull snake shouldn't cost you more than £60 top whack really, and have seen albino's go for as little as £100.
Thats hatchlings of course, like most snakes the bigger they are the more they cost! lol
