HI EVERYONE I HAVE A SURINAM BOA ,HE IS NORMALLY A LIGHT GREY SEE PICTURE.BUT HE HAS GONE QUITE PINK THIS DOESNT LAST LONG NORMALLY A DAY OR SO, IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. IS THIS NORMAL AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT CAUSES IT WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR ADVICE
BCC & BCI are both known to change colour and tone according to temperature and mood somewhat. It is particularly noticeable in the Hogg Island Boa's for example.Another time that a noticeable change in colour can occur is in the build up to a slough.I would say that his/her colour change is most likely due to one of these reasons and as long as there is no change in behaviour such as non feeding, greatly increased aggression or abnormal faeces then there is nothing to worry about here. Stunning little Suri by the way!Can we see more pics?
i used to have a hoggs male and he used to blush especially in the face and lobes of the head he had matured recently and the colour change was remarkable cos i hadnt seen it before, then he mated a lot with different females at the time so it might have had summat to do with that but there was nothing to worry about like bary said if everything else is ok i think hes fine! He is a lovely snake Kev!
