New Edition to the BRB collection !!!!!

I have been very lucky today !!!

I have managed to get hold of a Female BRB today and a very lucky find as well !

3 years old and stunning colours. Once she is settled in, pictures will be posted, promise.

So collections is now

1 Male 6 year old
1 Female 6 year old
2 Females 3 years old.

The 3 females are very different; one is very light, almost beige with an hint of orange, one is dark brown and amazingly strong markings and the other is very red and lovely colours.

I am going to feed them all like mad until the end of October, bring the temperature gradually down to about 65-70 for 8 weeks and then over a two week period raise the temperature an the humidity to mid 80's.

I will then be following a tip I was given; take the snakes for a drive down bumpy roads; aparently is mimics the actions in the wild and gets ready for breading. I will then introduce the male to the females and hope that 5 months later I will have lots of babies of different shades . . . . .

If anyone has any advice or thinks the above is not quite right, please please please do share ideas.

Thank you all.

Steve.

Wow, looks like you have  a nice group now.

Will be nice to see pics of all your group.

I have never heard of the bumpy road thing thats kinda a new one.  As for the feeding up, as long as it aint too much for them.  As with any animal, excessive overfeeding, and bulking them up causes obesity and can lead to infertility problems.  I have heard of people who have high end morphs who have did this, who's snakes have never bred?  I personally like to have all my boas on the eager side for food, by going round the viv looking for it rather than just sitting about waiting to be periodically fed.

Looking forward to the pics mate.

Have fun...............................Lindasmile

The last 3 pictures are the female got from bites n strikes.

Second two are the fully grown male and female together

The first set are the new female.

Not brilliant pictures but hope these are ok.
